Our Family Caring for Yours
Our founder, Vronica Flom, set the standard for care when she opened Morning Glory in 1998. She cared abundantly for each and every person she encountered, and went out of her way to ensure that they were shown the highest level of compassion, kindness and respect – clients and staff alike. On any given day, Vronica could be found assisting a caregiver with changing a flat tire, delivering dog treats to clients with pets, and taking extra time to get to know each individual who crossed her path, sharing her signature warmth and affection with all.
Although Vronica passed away in 2012, her legacy and the tone she set for Morning Glory live on. She exemplified the combination of tenacity and tenderness symbolized by her favorite flower – the morning glory – and we strive to follow in her footsteps and always go the extra mile to improve quality of life however we can for those in need of the exceptional home care services we provide. We remain a local provider of high quality non-medical services for seniors throughout Madison, St. Clair, Macoupin and Jersey counties in Illinois.
Morning Glory Home Care, Inc. is committed to providing high quality, personalized home care services to assist our clients in leading dignified, satisfying and fulfilling lives, wherever they call home.
Eliza Pautz, Executive Director
As Executive Director, Eliza oversees all operations at Morning Glory, meeting with families and referral sources seeking a senior care solution. Her passion for seniors and ensuring they receive the highest possible quality of care has been ingrained in her throughout her lifetime, beginning as a child, when her grandparents were anchors in her life. Through her music therapy clinicals at Maryville University she was able to further cement her desire to advocate for seniors, particularly in the fields of hospice and Alzheimer’s/dementia. She’s aware of the lack of experts in the field, and strives to be one of those experts. With a Bachelors of Science in Music Therapy as well as a Masters of Arts in Gerontology, and certification with the Alzheimer’s Association, she stays on top of the ever-changing issues impacting older Americans.
Morning Glory has provided care for Eliza’s grandparents and other members of her family, and when the opportunity arose, she jumped at the chance to join the Morning Glory team. In her spare time, she enjoys leading worship at church, baking, and anything outdoors, along with her husband and two daughters, Emma and Hazel.
Advanced Caregiver Training and Certification
When it comes to hiring and training in home caregivers and nurses, our standards couldn’t be higher. At Morning Glory Home Care, we take proactive steps to ensure our team is extensively trained and certified, so they feel confident in their roles and provide the highest quality care. While most home care agencies provide an average of 10 hours of general training, we provide over 120 hours of highly specialized in home caregiver training.
To fulfill this commitment, we have partnered with the Institute for Professional Care Education, a nationally renowned training and certification agency for caregiving professionals, to offer custom training programs to all our caregivers.
Our custom program provides three levels of training for our care staff:
- Level 1, “Certified Caregiver”, incorporates a variety of caregiver training tools to ensure skills stay sharp.
- Level 2, “Specialized Caregiver”, incorporates training in Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, and end of life care.
- Level 3, “Master Caregiver”, incorporates training in Parkinson’s disease, first aid, leadership, and more.
Always Improving Our Quality of Care
At Morning Glory Home Care, we know how crucial it is to actively gather feedback from our clients, their families, and our own staff so that we can continuously work to improve the quality of care we provide. That’s why we work with Home Care Pulse, an independent satisfaction management company, to continually benchmark and improve our processes.
